Transport Details

Maceió Zumbi dos Palmares International Airport lies about twenty five kilometres from the hotel, around thirty to forty minutes by car depending on traffic. Uber and taxis are available at the airport, and the hotel can arrange a paid shuttle. Flights connect Maceió with São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Recife and other Brazilian cities, with some seasonal international routes.

The bus station is about five kilometres away and serves routes to Recife, Aracaju, Salvador and inland Alagoas. Buses are comfortable and reasonably priced, but journeys are long.

Within Maceió, Uber and 99 are the most practical ways to move, especially after dark. City buses run along the seafront and to the centre, but routes can be confusing for visitors.

For day trips along the coast, renting a car offers the most freedom. The AL 101 highway runs north to Ipioca, Barra de Santo Antônio, São Miguel dos Milagres and Maragogi, and south to Praia do Francês and Barra de São Miguel. Roads are generally in good condition, but speed bumps and police checkpoints are common.

Organised tours depart daily from Ponta Verde to the main beaches, including transport and guide. The hotel concierge can book them, often with pickup at the door.

Recife lies about two hundred and sixty kilometres north, around four hours by road, making it possible to combine both cities in one trip.

Cycling along the seafront promenade is a pleasant way to move between Ponta Verde, Pajuçara and Jatiúca, with rental bikes available along the orla.
